A Hyderabad City-based AIG Hospital recently published an article in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases indicating that a single- dose of COVID-19 vaccine is sufficient for already infected people and they dont require a second dose.

The study assessed the immunological memory response and found it to be greater in those previously infected with the disease compared to those without any history of prior infection. 

This study will help cover the larger population get vaccinated and generate herd immunity in times of vaccine crises.
